P.M., Montrose County Landowner- Michael A. DeJahn CQNDETIONS POR APPROVAL The proposed operation does not anticipate exposing groundwater. Therefore, exposure of ground water must not occur during or after rrtining operations. The applicant stated that if ground water is encountered, the pit floor projections will be revised to maintain a minimum of two feet of undisturbed material above the ground water. ^ The proposed operation will consume ground water by ©evaporation, ^dust control, ^reclamation, ^water removed in the mined product, ^processing, [lather; _ Prior to initiation of these uses of ground water, the applicant will need to obtain either a gravel pit or other type of well permit, as applicable. Prior to obtaining a permit, an approved water supply plan or decreed plan For augmentation is required- ^ Prior to approving a well permit, the applicant must conduct a field inspection of the site and document the locations of al] wells within 600 feet mile of the permit area. The applicant must then pbtain a waiver of objection from ail well owners with wells within 600 feet ofthe permit area or contact this office regarding the 600 foot spacing notireation/hearing process. (~ The proposed operation may have potential impact on existing water rights near the project location. Please provide evidence that the proposed project will not alter or impact the histpriG operation of existing water rights. Irrigation water for revegetation of the pit floors during reclamation will be provided through water rights in the Gurley Ditch. This is acceptable so long as the ttsc of water from the Gurley pitch dots not exceed its decreed uses and amounts . ® The applicant has indicated plans to use other water for: dust control uses at the permit site. The applicant indicated that Such water will be trucked to the site. The applicant also intends to use water for product washing (estimated amount of material is 20,000 tons/year).
