Chemical Control Method-Application of chemical herbicides <br />a. Of the noxious weeds that were found, the following controls are suggested. The <br />small areas of diffuse knapweed primarily along the edge of road could be best <br />controlled by HiDep @ 2grts/acre in the spring <br />4. Biological Controls <br />a. Insects <br />b. Microbial pathogens <br />c. Intensive flash grazing by sheep or goats in conjunction with the grazing plan <br />which requires more management skills than other methods. <br />Procedure 5: Monitoring and Recording <br />The owners, successors and assigns, shall monitor the v~eeds on the property and the <br />effectiveness of treatments and shall keep appropriate records. The followuig monitoring <br />and records are required: <br />1. Monitoring: <br />a. Reseeded areas for: <br />i. effectiveness of seeding and seeded plant vigor <br />ii. competition with weeds if applicable (mused as a competitive seeding <br />technique) <br />2. Records <br />a. Updated weed map <br />b. Updated long term management plan <br />c. Seasonal strategic plait <br />d. Log of procedures/techniques used, including application rates, location & date <br />e. Evaluations of effectiveness of treatments & management techniques as <br />appropriate <br />f.
