Objection to the proposed Permit Amendment 3, DBMS Permit No. M-88-112, filed by Battle Mountain
Gold.
I further object to:
2. A proposal to irrigate the BMG property, formerly known as the Shalom Ranch,
now being called the Salazar Ranch; with water that should have been processed
through the water treatment plant which is currently in operation.
I further object to:
Any proposed changes that may be harmful to or negatively impact the citizens of
Costilla County, especially the town of San Luis.
I protest that the San Luis community did not receive adequate notice about the
proposed amendment, as BMRI did not publish the notice in our local newspapers,. La
Sierra Publication [lasierra@centurytel.net] and the Costilla County Free Press
[costillafreepress@yahoo. com] .
I respectfully requests all public hearings be held IN San Luis instead of Denver. This
would allow an opportunity for adequate input and response from our community.
Denver is not an appropriate location to hold Hearings that pertain to our future, as it is
an eight hour round trip from San Luis, in good weather.
Sincerely,
cla~~~ ~Qe~~~,a /~ Y--
Charlotte Valencia
Community Member
P.O.
