i <br />' <br />Peabody <br />Twentymile Coal Company <br />29515 Routt County Road <br />Oak Creek, Colorado 80467 <br />970-879-3800 <br />July 17, 2008 <br />Chad Phillips <br />Planning Director <br />Routt County Regional Planning Department <br />P.O Box 773749 <br />Steamboat Springs, Colorado 80477 <br />RE: Amendmerif/Renewal Application - - - <br />Permit No. PP2004-002 <br />Dear Mr. Phillips: <br />Twentymile Coal Company (TCC) is requesting that the above referenced permit be renewed to <br />continue the annual hauling of 360,000 tons of coal from TCC's Foidel Creek mine on County <br />Road No. 27 to U.S. Route 40. At the 360,000 tons per year rate, average truck trips on the road <br />would continue to be at the current 40 trucks per day. TCC is also requesting to renew/extend the <br />permit to a revised five-year period. The trucking route is shown on the Exhibit Nos. 2 and 2A <br />general location maps included with this application. <br />The renewal/extension period would begin on January 1, 2009 and run through December 31, <br />2013. TCC understands that in the event this application is not approved it is allowed to haul <br />under the conditions of permit PP2004-002 until it terminates on December 31, 2008. <br />The same operating conditions in permit PP2004-002, as they relate to hours of operation and the <br />continued reconstruction of County Road 27, will remain the same. <br />The following attachments are enclosed: <br />? -Signed application-package - <br />?
