On behalf of my client Grand County Department of Road & Bridge I
am responding to your July 31, 2008 Adequacy Review letter in the order
presented.
6. I misunderstood your request when I committed to doubling the
broadcast rate and not doubling the drilling rate like you asked.
I have run the numbers on the seed mix and found that my reference
to the 17.21 seeds per square foot waa in error. It should have
read. 39.93 seed per square foot.
I used. the seed count numbers in the back of the SCS Publica-
tion +,.Plant Materials for Use on Surface-Mined Lands in Arid and
Semiarid Regions". In addition, I increased the mixture by % pound
for the Bluebunch Wheatgraes so the mix will provide more than 40
seeds per square foot. The attached are 2 copies of page 7 shows
the revised mix and application rates for the mine.

future.
