RE: Informational Meetin via Conference Call, Pre-hearing Conference and Formal Public Hearing
for Connell Resources, Inc., Ser 1 er Pit, Fi<le1o. M-2008-006 Dear Party and/or Interested Person:

The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) received objections to the SerFer Pit 112c
New Application (File No. M-2008-006) submitted by Connell Resources, Inc. Comments and objections have
been forwarded to Connell Resources.
An Informational Meeting via conference call has been scheduled to occur on August 15, 2008, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
The purpose of the informational meeting call is to identify all parties to the proceedings and Formal Board jHearings,
explain the role of the Division, discuss the review process, explain the Pre-hearing Conference process, and explain legal
rights associated with party and non-party status.
In order to participate in the teleconference, perform the following steps, at or just before the scheduled
informational meeting time and date:
1. Dial the toll free, Conferencing access number 1-866-877-3977
2. Dial the Conferencing "room" number * 2977618 * (NOTE: the star key must be pressed before and after
the room number).
3. Wait to be added to the conference.

A Pre-hearing Conference has also been scheduled to occur on August 20, 2008, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado. Ms. Sandra
Brown will preside as Pre-hearing Conference Officer. The purpose of the Pre-hearing Conference is to
summarize the Office's review process, to explain the rights and responsibilities of parties, to discuss and resolve
issues to the extent possible, to describe the Board Hearing processes, to determine the list of issues under the
Board's jurisdiction and to simplify the list, and to determine who has demonstrated standing to be a party to the
Formal Board Hearing. Please note, pursuant to Rule 2.6 (2). parties are required to provide thirteen (13) 3-
