I had no formal comments on it and told George Ohara it was fine after
reviewing it. They will be submitting it as an NOI, so we will be receiving it in Denver for the NOI review process.
From: George O'Hara [mailto:George@westernfuels.org]
Sent: Thursday, July 10, 2008 3:28 PM
To: Boulay, Mike
Cc: David Anderson; Duane Richards; Ryan Lunde; Murari Shrestha; whaffner@tristategt.org;
howket@tristategt.org; kmulhall@tristategt.org; spowell@tristategt.org; rlwade@wfcnucla.org
Subject: New Horizon adjacent north ground water monitoring
Mike,
Western Fuels has prepared a plan for installing groundwater monitoring holes for baseline groundwater
monitoring in the New Horizon Adjacent North area. These holes would provide baseline groundwater data for
future mining in that area. As you know we are beginning our efforts to permit the area north of the New Horizon
Mine (New Horizon 1 permit area) for future mining. In our meeting with you on June 12th, 2008, you expressed
an interest in reviewing and commenting on our plans for baseline studies etc. prior to our collecting data so that
we are all on the same page and there are no surprises. Please find attached for your review and comment a pdf
file describing the groundwater monitoring hole locations and construction techniques that we propose.
George M.
