MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-Wnnt-n38_
INSPECTION DATE: Z/-o8/Q8 INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: IIII 4ECS
/MA(:
OBSERVATIONS
On July 8`h, 2008, 1 Jared Ebert, Michael Cunningham and Eric Scott of the Colorado Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety conducted a normal Monitoring Inspection of the Bennett Sand and Gravel operation, permit
number M-2001-038. This site is located approximately four miles north east of Bennett, Colorado in Adams
County. Mr. David Lincoln of Bennett Sand and Gravel met us at the site.
The appropriate mine entrance sign was in place. Once we entered the site we were met by David Lincoln, he
explained the current status of the mining operation. The permit boundaries were clearly marked and the
excavation was within these boundaries. Mining appears to be in phase I and 2 of the mining plan. Excavation
appears to be progressing south in accordance with the mine plan.
The western high wall is near to the western permit boundary and fence, Mr. Lincoln indicated that they will not
be progressing any further in that direction. Near the western pit wall, at the base of the pit, large pieces of
plastic and other refuse was found (Figure 2 and 3). This is sited as a problem on page three of this report. Mr.
Lincoln indicated that he was unaware of the refuse in the pit and said it would be removed.
No other problems were noticed during the inspection.

'-, • :•:? • ? - .. mil . ?? ..
11igUlC 1.) pit c.xca?ation looking north.

in west pit excavation
Y
all-
i-7 -
3.)
