A copy of the attendance list is <br /> attached.Please note the following clarifications and amendments to the Hawks Nest Mine Maintenance Project <br /> Invitation for Bid: <br /> 1. The asphalt access road which crosses through the Project Area must be returned to a condition at least equal to <br /> its pre-construction condition. CONTRACTOR shall accomplish any repairs to the road which are necessary <br /> as a result of construction related activities. Such repairs may include,but may not be limited to grading, <br /> filling to eliminate low spots and patching with asphaltic materials. <br /> 2. Item 7,Mine Opening Backfill is deleted from the Project. A revised Bid Schedule is attached to this <br /> Amendment. <br /> 3. Please note that the"Top of Channel"indicated in the Profile view of Figure 3,Check Dams, is incorrectly <br /> placed. Upon completion,the upper most elevation of the gravel check dam will be four to six inches(4"—6") <br /> above the adjacent ground level,as depicted in the Cross Section view of Figure 3(note that the liner depicted <br /> in the Cross Section view is at ground level). <br /> 4. Task 10,Supply Topsoil,will include obtaining,delivering and placing the additional topsoil to an eight inch <br /> (8")depth over an approximately three(3)acre area. Acceptable soils must have physical characteristics <br /> which fall within the following parameters: <br /> Organic Matter: 0.4—10% <br /> The soil texture must fall between the classifications of silty clay and sandy loam. <br /> No rock particles may exceed four inches(4")as measured across the longest axis. Rock particles(soil <br /> particles measuring 0.5 inches or larger)may not exceed ten percent(10%)of the soil by unit volume. <br /> All terms and conditions of the Invitation and Bid other than as changed by this amendment remain the same. <br /> Receipt and acceptance of this amendment shall be acknowledged on the Bid Form. <br />
