Inlet and Outlet Basins (General Description <br /> The inlet basin is to be shaped to receive the flow from the upstream weir (existing concrete <br /> drop structure) to the culvert. Grouted riprap is to line the inlet basin in its entirety, from a <br /> minimum elevation 1 and %foot above the top of the culvert to the top of the extended <br /> wingwalls of an existing drop structure. 'The junction of riprap and culvert material (at both the <br /> inlet and discharge basins), and the junction of riprap with the face of the existing concrete drop <br /> structure, is to be continuous grout at a minimum thickness of 1 foot. <br /> 3. Guardrail Installation <br /> A post and cable guardrail, to be located on the drainage-crossing fill. The two guard <br /> rails are approximately 150 feet long each. Posts, at 10-foot intervals, are 6" x 6" treated <br /> wood, eight feet long, embedded into the fill 3 feet, the outside edge of the post 6 inches <br /> from the edge of the roadway. One-inch cable is to be strung, and clamped, through <br /> holes, centered, 1 '/2 foot below the top of the posts, with maximum sag between posts <br /> no more than 6 inches. <br /> 4. Erosion Repair. <br /> The erosion features to be reclaimed are shown on Drawing 1. The erosional ravine <br /> slopes are to be laid back to 3 horizontal to 1 vertical. <br /> 5. Revegetation <br /> All areas disturbed during reclamation work and any other areas specified in these Special <br /> Conditions will be revegetated according to the Revegetation Specifications in the General <br /> Bid Specifications. Commercial fertilizer is required for this project. Seed will be supplied <br /> by the OWNER. The Special GEC seed mix will be used on all areas. <br /> 6. Equipment Rental <br /> Task #6 involves rental hours for a bulldozer to perform additional earthwork. All work <br /> performed under this Task must be authorized and witnessed by the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER, and shall be paid for on an hourly basis up to a maximum of 10 hours. <br /> Bulldozer---Hydraulically operated blade, minimum 120 fhp, with operator. <br /> 8 <br />
