Lyster Pit Page 5 of 5
Moffat County, Colorado July 3, 2008
distance between the proposed pit and water wells in the area is too far to be of any
measurable consequence. Shallow wells to the East are upgradient, thus contamination
potential is remote. Other wells draw water out of a deep confined aquifer that will not be
noticeably impacted by surface activity.
We recommend two sets of monitoring wells be installed in the approximate locations as
shown on Figure 1. The exact locations should be determined in the field, as directed by the
Engineer, to match observed field conditions. We recommend baseline monitoring should be
performed for at least 4 to 6 months, to determine a reasonable idea of seasonal fluctuation in
groundwater levels.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (970) 625-5433.
Sincerely,
WATER RESOURCE CONSULTANTS, LLC

Paul C.
