Please identify all cottonwood groves in the wildlife corridor and ,within the boundaries <br />of potential offsite groundwater impacts to help assure adequate monitoring is in place. <br />A site -visit identified a cottonwood grove in the Southwestern corner of the <br />mining site. The Mining Plan map has been revised to show the approximate <br />location of the cottonwood grove. A monitoring, well will be placed, in the <br />vicinity of the cottonwood grove.. <br />.14. The applicant states that the registered alluvial wells :within 600- feet were identified <br />based on SEO records. Were field inspections conducted to identify ALL wells within <br />600 feet? Please revise the exhibits 'to depict the actual locations of the alluvial wells. <br />Will any wells beyond the 600 foot radius be affected by the mining operations? <br />On May 15, 2008, a 600-foot spacing field inspection was performed with Mark. <br />Simpson, the Deputy Water Commissioner for District 2. The inspection revealed <br />one well within 600 feet of the SerFer Pit property boundary. Well Permit No. <br />'244775, is a domestic well owned by Mr. Clement McNaney -and is located east <br />of the SerFer Pith property. Mr. Simpson did not identify 'any additional wells <br />within 600, ft. Revised Exhibits G=1, G-2, and G-3 showing the- location of the <br />McNaney Well (Well ID #8) are included as Exhibit G.14. Wells outside the 600- <br />-foot radius may be affected by the mining operation.' Monitoring wells will be <br />installed to insure that wells within close proximity to the SerFer. Pit site are not <br />adversely affected by the, mining operation.... <br />15. Please depict the locatio I.on a ma where mine water will be discharged. If mine- water is <br />discharged into a ditch or other man-made structure, please provide consent to discharge <br />water into this structure??. If water is discharged into a ditch that is unlined.
