(I CC) personnel have completed the installation of <br />the monitor wells you requested for the above=referenced project. On October 4, 1999, <br />EEC ;personnel installed four ,(4) wells at the requested locatiions, one at,each corner of <br />the property. `Each of ithe wells was installed to a depth, that penetrated the. bedrocle which <br />varied' at each of the well locations, The rnaterials encountered in the test borings. are <br />described below and on the 'attached borl'?ig logs A'diagrarn showing the approxi crate <br />boring.locations is attached'. <br />The borings were advanced using a CME 53 drill rig equipped with a continuous flight, <br />hollow-stem auger, The boring, logs: were prepared based, on visual and tactual <br />observations of the Mager cuttings. The materials encountered i,n the borings can be <br />summarized as follows. i <br />In general, the subsurface materials encountered in the ,boring consisted of 3 to 6.5 'felt of <br />dark brown sandy lean clay,'which was underlain by coarse sand and gravel with cobbles. <br />The frequency of cobbles varied with depth. 'The granular materials extended to depths <br />of 13 to 18 feet below present site grades.
