Avoid water for small fires, if possible. <br />¦ Keep area well ventilated. <br />¦ For a large fire, protect adjacent structures, use water from a safe distance. Remember water can be <br />used as a barrier. <br />¦ Direct extinguishing agent in a manner to avoid splashing spilled material. <br />¦ Dam and dike at a safe distance to control runoff.
