I PROJECT WORK DESCRIPTION PROJECT OVERVIEW The goal of this Project is to enhance this previously reclaimed area by incorporating organic materials and earthen materials into the existing ground surface, seeding the area constructing a short drainage channel and planting shrubs. NOTE that volumes, distances and areas stated in this document are ESTIMATIONS ONLY. CONTRACTORS are responsible for verifying all estimations prior to bid submittal. WORK TASKS The tasks included in this Project are as follows: Task 1: Mobilization and Demobilization Task 2: Slash Reduction Task 3: Provide Organic Materials Task 4: Incorporate Materials Task 5: Drainage Construction Task 6: Revegetation Task 7: Shrub Planting Task 8: Equipment Rental TASK 1 MOBILIZATION AND DEMOBILIZATION This Task shall comply with Specification 1.0, Mobilization/ Demobilization, of the Colorado Inactive Mine Reclamation Program General Bid Specifications, 1996. In addition, the following activities shall be completed as part of this Task: Sediment Control Sediment control will be employed during and after construction. Silt fence, installed as depicted in Figure 1, must be installed for the length of the earth work construction area immediately above the North Fork of the Gunnison river. It is estimated that not more than four hundred feet (400') of silt fence will be used at the work area. Site Clean Up Miscellaneous metallic and non-metallic debris may be encountered throughout the Project Area during construction, as this area was previously used as the Hawks; Nest Mine facilities area. All metallic and non-metallic debris will be removed from the; site by CONTRACTOR, and must be properly disposed of. Disposal may occur at an appropriately licensed land fill, or CONTRACTOR may salvage such materials. 6
