The following clarifications and amendments should be noted and incorporated into the bid
documents.
1. The Bid opening is on Wednesday, April 12, 2000 at 2:30 p.m.
2. The volume of material estimated in the Bid document to be removed during completion of Task
1, Remove, Haul and Dispose of Slash and Earthen Materials, is an estimate only.
CONTRACTORS are encouraged to make independent volume estimations of the stockpiled
material in order that bidders are comfortable with the amount of material to be removed during
completion of this Lump Sum task.
3. Coarse organic material, which will be segregated and stockpiled separately from smaller
diameter material, is defined as timber with a diameter greater than eight inches (8").
4. The Purchasing Officer reports that it is likely that the Purchase Order can be issued on or
before April 18, 2000. Every effort will be made to issue the Purchase Order in a timely manner,
so that work may commence on April 18, 2000. In order to do so, CONTRACTORS must have a
current W-9 on file with the Department of Natural Resources. Those who do not are
encouraged to file one immediately. These may be FAXED to Yvonne Brannon at 303-832-
3106.
5. The CDOT Project Manager reports that the roto-milling operations discussed at the Pre-Bid
Meeting are indefinite at this time. The CDOT Project Manager stated that he thought that roto-
milling operations on Highway 133, if undertaken, would begin the week of April 24 or May 1,
2000, at the east end of the Highway Project and work toward the west, and that delays, if
encountered, would be no longer than five (5) minutes in length.
6. The Contract period is extended to Five (5) working days.
All terms and conditions of the Invitation and Bid other than as changed by this amendment remain
the same.
Receipt and acceptance of this amendment will be acknowledged on the bid form.
