The Corley Company
Phone 632-5050
P.O.Box 1821
COLORADO SPRINGS,COLORADO 80901
July 2, 1994
J U L 51994
Mr. Larry Routten
Division of Minerals & Geology
- ----- 1313--Sherman--St.-- - _ --
Denver CO 80203
Dear Mr. Routten:
Yesterday we were told by Mr. Meese, the East Pit contractor, that the
Division was terminating the placement of topsoil on about two acres
remaining on Chen' s hill because of lack of funds from the GEC monies.
He said that there was about 1500 to 1800 cu. yds. left in the topsoil
pile that needed to me moved.
We shall insist that the money that you said had been spent from the GEC
bond for gulley repair in the Harrison Western area be returned to the
East Pit area. At least half of the $4000 spent for gulley repair
should still be available for the movement of the remaining topsoil.
Since Mr. Meese said that he was going to move his 627 scraper out of
the area the week of July 4 through 8, there is little time to correct
the allocation of funds.
Sincerely,
W.D. Corley,
President
