SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br /> Trinidad Basin Mining Project <br /> MVC-MINES-348 <br /> PROJECT LOCATION <br /> The project involves two locations. <br /> Task #2 is located within the city limits of Trinidad, Colorado, north of Linden Avenue and <br /> adjacent to the A.T. & S.F.. Railroad Spur. Please see attached Map #1. <br /> Tasks #3 through #15 are located in Sections 15 and 22, T31 S, R65W, approximately five <br /> (5) miles west of the Ludlow-1-25 Interchange. Please see attached Map #2. <br /> WORK SUMMARY <br /> The project work will include reclamation of a railyard coal loadout, and reclamation of a coal <br /> strip mine, including grading, pond and ditch reconstruction, permanent channel <br /> reconstruction, and revegetation. <br /> PRE-BID MEETING AND SITE SHOWING <br /> A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site showing will be held at the Ludlow Memorial <br /> monument, one (1) mile west of the Ludlow-1-25 interchange on March 17, 1995, at 9:00 <br /> a.m. Please see attached Map #2. <br /> The Pre-Bid Meeting is for the purpose of showing prospective bidders the work site and <br /> vicinity. Bidders are advised to be prompt. A sign-in sheet will be available at the Pre-Bid <br /> meeting for firms to register their attendance. It is the bidder's responsibility to make certain <br /> their attendance is recorded on the sign-in sheet. Failure to sign-in or to attend the entire <br /> meeting will be cause for rejection of a bid. <br /> THIS PRE-BID MEETING INVOLVES INSPECTION OF WORK ADJACENT TO RAILROAD <br /> TRACKS, DITCHES AND SEDIMENT PONDS. THE SAFETY OF PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS IS <br /> OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE TO THE DIVISION OF MINERALS AND GEOLOGY. PROSPECTIVE <br /> BIDDERS MUST CONDUCT THEMSELVES WITH CARE AND IN A SAFE MANNER DURING <br /> THE PRE-BID MEETING. <br /> Bidders are cautioned that,notwithstanding any remarks or clarifications given at this meeting <br /> and site showing, all terms and conditions of the contract documents remain unchanged <br /> unless they are changed by written amendment issued by the OWNER. If the answers to <br /> questions, or any amendment to the contract documents create ambiguities, it is the <br /> responsibility of the bidder to seek clarification prior to submitting a bid. <br /> BID OPENING DATE <br /> The bid opening date for this project is April 3, 1995 at 2:30 p.m. <br />
