Griswold:
The bid opening for the Trinidad Basin Mining Project referenced
above was held on June 22, 1999. The low bid received was in the
amount of $44,444.44 . 2 have been informed that the total funds
currently available for this project are in the amount of
$39, 085.00 . The difference is $ 5,359.00 .
All bidders were informed that certain tasks were considered low
priority and would be included in the project up to the amount
held by the State for the reclamation project. The Trinidad Bassin
Project must be completed during 1999 . Since it is too late in
the year to re-bid the work, we respectfully request permission to
negotiate with the contractor awarded the job to complete priority
work within the total available funds.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
D
Gary S.
