III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made
during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection

This was a complete inspection of the Amess McGriffin Mine conducted by Tom Kaldenbach of the
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety. The ground was dry.
The permit for this mine was revoked more than 10 years ago. The site was reclaimed by DRMS's
IML program in April 1990.
Roads
The cable (probably installed by the Division of Wildlife)which sometimes blocks vehicle access to
the site was not in place. The cable installed by CDRMS next to the road is in good shape. The road
into the site remains appears to have been graded recently to a more passable condition.
Reclamation Success
The former portal bench area(shown below)had fairly good grass cover.
