Cattany <br />Craig, CO 81626 Division Director <br /> Natural Resource Trustee <br />RE: Trapper Mining, Inc., Permit C-81-010 <br />Second Quarter Sediment Pond Inspection Report 2008 <br />Dear Mr. Mattern, <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (CDRMS) has reviewed and found the <br />above referenced report to be in compliance with the following CDRMS regulation: <br />4.05.9(17) - Examined at least quarterly by a qualified person designated by the operator, for <br />appearance of structural weakness and other hazardous conditions. <br />4.05.9(17) - A copy of the report shall be submitted to the Division on a quarterly basis. <br />The second quarter sediment pond inspection reports were received by the Division on 30 June 2008. <br />Sediment pond inspections were conducted by TMI on June 19th and June 23`d - 25th <br />Four ponds were reported discharging at the time of the inspection. Maintenance items noted were the <br />replacement of the corroded standpipe in No Name #2 and setting of sediment markers at Sage #2, Oak <br />#1 and West Flume. All ponds were functioning as designed at the time of the inspections with the <br />exception of No Name #2. According to the above referenced report the corroded standpipe in No <br />Name #2 is not currently compromising the effectiveness of the drainage and sediment control system <br />in No Name drainage. <br />If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
