Approximately 62 <br />Acres, in the NE/4 of Section 3, T6N, R90W, Moffat County, Colorado; Application <br />File # M - 2008- 022. <br />Mr. Means: <br />Thank you for your letter of June 11, 2008 transmitting Ms. Kate Pickford's <br />Hydrology Review comments. First I would like to snake a minor clarification <br />concerning the applicant's planned operations at the site. They are still currently <br />negotiating an agreement with Elam to operate the site pending the permit approval <br />and have not yet, at this date, selected a particular contractor to operate at the site. <br />Currently the agreement may be executed with Elam or possibly another interested <br />contractor if proposal conditions or terms change, <br />That being said, the applicant will require whomsoever operates at the site to <br />operate as discussed in the 112 application and the various PAR comment letters. <br />This would include mining the site with a single pond aspect due to the wetlands <br />areas at the site. The plan change to a single pond simply removes the central road and <br />will allow for the mining of a substantial amount additional aggregate material. Other <br />than mining the site as one single pond, all other planned mining and reclamation <br />activities will he conducted as shown and described in the application, A revised <br />Exhibit F Map is attached to this letter for your review, as we had discussed, showing <br />approximate planned location and limits of the single pond. <br />Such things mentioned previously in my PAR comments such as road <br />construction, portable scales, planned hours of operations, passible daily workforce, <br />types of site operations, and revisions to SW permits would be similar with other
