Approximately 62
Acres, in the NE/4 of Section 3, T6N, R90W, Moffat County, Colorado; Application
File # M - 2008- 022.
Mr. Means:
Thank you for your letter of June 11, 2008 transmitting Ms. Kate Pickford's
Hydrology Review comments. First I would like to snake a minor clarification
concerning the applicant's planned operations at the site. They are still currently
negotiating an agreement with Elam to operate the site pending the permit approval
and have not yet, at this date, selected a particular contractor to operate at the site.
Currently the agreement may be executed with Elam or possibly another interested
contractor if proposal conditions or terms change,
That being said, the applicant will require whomsoever operates at the site to
operate as discussed in the 112 application and the various PAR comment letters.
This would include mining the site with a single pond aspect due to the wetlands
areas at the site. The plan change to a single pond simply removes the central road and
will allow for the mining of a substantial amount additional aggregate material. Other
than mining the site as one single pond, all other planned mining and reclamation
activities will he conducted as shown and described in the application, A revised
Exhibit F Map is attached to this letter for your review, as we had discussed, showing
approximate planned location and limits of the single pond.
Such things mentioned previously in my PAR comments such as road
construction, portable scales, planned hours of operations, passible daily workforce,
types of site operations, and revisions to SW permits would be similar with other
