(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-1987-074
INSPECTION DATE: 6/25/2008
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS THM
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was conducted as part of the normal monitoring program established by the Colorado Division of
Reclamation, Mining and Safety. The Dotsero Quarry is located 2 miles northeast of Dotsero, Colorado off of the
frontage road North of I-70, in Eagle County. The site is a 112c operation that consists of 65.52 -acres. Jeff
O'Connell with the Glenwood Springs BLM and Gerry Mayne with Mayne Industries were present during the
inspection.
The mine identification sign was in place and in compliance with Rule 3.1.12. The permit boundary markers were
not identified during the inspection. Please provide photo documentation to this office that demonstrates boundary
markers are located around the entire perimeter of the mine no later than the date indicated on the last page of this
report.
The pit is currently active and various pieces of equipment were observed within the permit area. The active area of
the mine activity is taking place on the slopes located at the north edge of the permit boundary which appears to be
in Phase 2 of the mine plan. It appeared that the mine operation was following the approved mine plan.
The reclaimed slopes appear to be at or near the approved 2H:1 V. Vegetation on the reclaimed slopes consisted of a
variety of grasses and shrubs. Topsoil and overburden stockpiles were observed at the east end of the permit area.
The topsoil appeared to have adequate vegetation to provide stability and protection against erosion.
In an effort to ensure the financial warranty remains adequate to reclaim this site per the requirements of the
approved reclamation plan, DRMS will update the reclamation cost estimate. The estimate will be forwarded to the
operator under separate cover. The last bond calculation was done in 2006.
A variety of weeds were observed within the permit area but none appeared to be noxious.
Photos that show the conditions observed during the inspection are included at the end of this report.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to Travis Marshall at the Division of Reclamation, Mining
and Safety, Grand Junction Field Office, 101 South 3`d Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, phone
no. 970.623.5596.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Gerry Mayne
OPERATOR: Mayne Industries, Inc.
STREET: P.O.
