The proposed mine area is located on his property at 1810 CR 308, Durango, CO, SW 1/4, Section 19, T 34 N, R 8 W, N.M.P.M. The property consists of 85.03 acres and the affected acre- age is less than two acres. The pur- pose of the mining activity and per- mit application is as a result of the BP gas well expansion on the exist- ing well pad located in the NE cor- ner of the subject property. This material has already been excavat- ed. A portion of the material was used to construct the approved sub- division roadways. The leftover ma- terial is to be crushed and removed by being sold to others. The pro- posed date of commencement for removal of material was May 2008 when BP was to begin operations to excavate additional pad area. The proposed date of commencement for crushing the gravel is June 2008 and proposed date for sale of lefto- ver material is July 2008 or after this permit has been approved. It is anticipated that sale of the material would occur during July, August and Sept. 2008 and would be com- pleted by Oct 2008. BP Is responsi- ble for all excavation and reclama- tion of the site per agreement with the surface owner and project ap- proval with La Plata County. The fu- ture land use will be as approved and permitted in the Fork Horn Mesa Subdivision and the BP well expansion approval.
