(HGTI) has provided the Division with the first quarter 2008 pond
inspection report for Hayden Gulch Loadout (DRMS Permit No. C 1992-091). Two ponds exist on the
permit area, Truck Loop Pond (001) and Rail Loop Pond (002). The report was received by the Division
on May 30, 2008. No discharges were recorded from either pond during first quarter 2008. Both ponds
were inspected by HGTI on March 25, 2008. Both ponds had significant snow cover on embankments
and on the surrounding permit area. Neither pond had discharged since April 2007. Repairs conducted at
the Truck Loop Pond were successful as no leaking of the headgate was reported by HGTI. No
maintenance items were identified by the operator for first quarter 2008. These reports are in compliance
with Rule 4.05.9(17).
Sincerely,
CC: John Weinman, Hydro-Environmental Solutions, Inc.
C:\jhb\C9208I\Reports\lst Q ponds.doc
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
