June 16, 2008
RE: 2007 ANNUAL REPORT FOR PERMIT # M-2006-075
The Overlook Mine is an operation that covers approximately 32-acres. The reserve is a sand and
gravel deposit and it is estimated that 4 million tons are present. The mine will continue from its
present location downward and outward towards the flanks of the hill. The hill will be mined
down to the adjacent grade and will eventually become a residential development site.
In 2007, operation's mined approximately 87,000 tons of raw material. Mining operations
primarily occurred at the north end of the pit, where front-end loaders were used for excavation of
sand and gravel. Conveyer belts were used to transport materials into piles for screening and
crushing at the south portion of the pit. Haul trucks arrived into the pit on the west side and
departed on the east side of the pit. As trucks exited the pit, they were weighed at an unmanned
electric scale.
GRANBY RANCH * SOLVISTA BASIN * HEADWATERS GOLF COURSE
OFFICIAL HEADQUARTERS OF THE GREAT OUTDOORS
------- ---------------- ------------------------------------------------------- ------... .... -------------------------------------------- -............
PO Bab NO Gaanb?, Oo&iaao 80448 Pone - 970-887-5/75 lax., 970-887-099.9 w&w6iaUhy&wh.em
i
