• • ADDENDUM D• <br />Yj 'ONTA CANYON JQINT ENTURE <br />Froth Flotation Test Pro t_d_uxP <br />Bald Eagle Org <br />Date: June 6, 1993. <br />Equipment: Denver laboratory test flotation cell. <br />Sample: Two kilograms ore crushed and ground to -65 mesh. <br />Water: Taken from sump at bottom of decline in Bald Eagle Mine. , <br />Chemicals: Dissolved and used in ten percent aqueous solutions. <br />Litmus paper used for pH determinations. <br />Procedure: Lead Sulphide Removal. <br />Conditioning. <br />Start cell. in operation. <br />Add: - water and ore to cell. <br />- CaO to raise pH to 8.0. <br />- Na2Co3 to raise pH to 10.6. <br />5 ml of ZnSO4. <br />1 ml of potassium ethyl xanthate. <br />Agitate 15 minutes to complete conditioning. <br />Flotation. <br />Add: - 1 ml of AC 208. <br />1 ml of AC 242. <br />methyl amyl alchol frother as required. <br />Float and remove froth for 20 minutes. <br />Zinc Sulphide Removal. <br />Conditioning. <br />Add: - 5 ml of CuSO4. <br />- 2 grams of CaO. <br />- 1 ml of AC 208. <br />- 1 ml of potassium ethyl xanthate. <br />Agitate 15 minutes to complete conditioning. <br />Flotation. <br />Add: - methyl amyl alchol frother as required. <br />Float and remove froth for 20 minutes. <br />Iron Sulphide Removal. <br />Conditioning. <br />Add: - H2SO4 to lower pH to 9.0. <br />- 2.5 ml. of potassium ethyl xanthate. <br />Agitate 15 minutes to complete conditioning. <br />Flotation. <br />Add: - methyl amyl alchol frother as required. <br />Float and remove froth for 20 minutes. <br />Flotation tailings and water taken to independent laboratory for. <br />TFLC test on tailings and chemical analysis on the water.
