Representative Sampling <br /> • = = :Samples and measurements take <br /> n as required herein shall be representative <br /> of the volume and nature of the monitored discharge. <br /> 2. Reporting <br /> Monitoring results shall be summarized for each month and reported on <br /> applicable discharge monitoring report forms (EPA Form 3320-1) , <br /> postmarked no later than the 28th day of the following month. if no <br /> discharge occurs during the reporting period, "No Discharge" shall be <br /> reported. Duplicate signed- copies of these, and all other reports <br /> required herein, shall be submitted to the Regional Administrator <br /> and the State at the following addresses: <br /> Colorado Department of Health U.S. Environmental Protection Agency <br /> Water Quality Control Division 1860 Lincoln Street - Suite 103 <br /> 4210 East llth Avenue Denver, Colorado 80295 <br /> Denver, Colorado 80220 Attention: Enforcement - Permit Program <br /> Attention: Permits & Enforcement <br /> 3. Definitions <br /> a. A "composite" sample, for monitoring requirements, is defined as a <br /> minimum of four (4) grab samples collected at equally spaced two (2) <br /> hour intervals and proportioned according to flow. <br /> • b. A "grab" sample, for monitoring requirements, is defined as a single <br /> "dip and take" sample collected at a representative point in the <br /> discharge stream. <br /> c. An "instantaneous" measurement, for monitoring requirements, is <br /> defined as a single reading, observation, or measurement using <br /> existing monitoring facilities. <br /> d. A "continuous" measurement, for flow monitoring requirements, is <br /> defined as using an automatic recording device to continually <br /> measure flow. <br /> =e:- -A "visual" observation, for oil and grease monitoring requirements, <br /> is defined as observing the discharge to check for the presence of <br /> a visible sheen or floating oil . if either of these: is present, a <br /> grab sample shall be taken and analyzed, and corrective measures <br /> taken immediately to correct the situation. <br /> • Amended <br /> 2/82 <br /> 11 <br />
