Dear Jim:
Mid-Continent Resources, Inc. agrees to the proposals as
set down in your letter "Revegetation Success Standards" of
October 12 , 1982.
The coal processing waste pile and mine bench outslope scopes
will be sent to consultants for bid and the work started in the
summer of 1983. (Stips. 16 and 19) .
Our present plan for the mine benches (Stip. 19) will be to
place approximately 12" to 14" of topsoil (from beaver pond area
• #3 mine) on all mine benches (total yardages available and quality
analysis report will be forthcoming from soils consultant) .
Also, we agree to your proposal for the woody plant density
standard to be set at 100 trees/acre and 500 shrubs per acre for
each of the three major vegetation types.
On Stip. 20 , we agree to the tunnel revegetation success stan-
dard of equal to adjacent cover/production /shrub density. (area
baseline studies) .
On Stip. 21, the baseline data will be sent to a consultant
to determine how many species have 3% or more relative cover.
On Stip 34 , we have or will conform with the signs and
markers requirements of rule 4.oz.
On Stip. 32 , our revision will be coming shortly.
