DATE EVENT
October 24, 1985 Western Fuels-Utah, Inc. (Western Fuels) submitted permit
application package (PAP) under the approved Colorado
State Program to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation
Division (MLRD) for a permit revision for the Deserado
mine. Colorado MLRD commenced its administrative
completeness review (ACR).
October 31, 1985 Colorado MLRD determined that the PAP was complete and
commenced its technical analysis.
November 6, 1985 Western Fuels submitted the PAP to the Office of Surface
Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSMRE). OSMRE
commenced its review of the PAP.
November 28, 1985 Western Fuels published in the Rangely Times the fourth
consecutive weekly notice that its complete PAP was filed
with Colorado MLRD.
• ,December 3 1985 Colorado MLRD notified Western Fuels of deficiencies

identified in the PAP.
January 10, 1986 OSMRE furnished comments on the PAP, generated during its
review of the PAP for NEPA to Colorado MLRD.
January 16, 1986 The public comment and informal conference request period
for the Deserado mine PAP expired.
January 24, 1986 Western Fuels responded to Colorado MLRD concerning
deficiencies identified in the PAP.
February 11, 1986 Colorado MLRD and OSMRE notified Western Fuels of
deficiencies identified in the PAP.
February 18, 1986 Western Fuels responded to Colorado MLRD and OSMRE
concerning deficiencies identified in the PAP.
