(e) Sample adequacy for all measurements will be determined using the appropriate formula
found in Part 4 of DMG's "Guidelines Regarding Selected Coal Bond Release Issues".
(f) Reference site data obtained during monitoring will be evaluated to determine range
condition following NRCS guidelines.
(g) Reclamation areas will be compared to their appropriate reference areas (vegetative cover
and herbaceous production) or technical standard (diversity and woody shrub density).
Revegetation success will be determined by comparing reference areas to revegetated
areas (Rule 4.15.7(4)(a)). The statistical test used in the comparison will be consistent with
the methods described in Part 4 of DMG's "Guideline Regarding Selected Coal Bond
Release Issues".
(h) As an alternative to testing the null hypothesis discussed in DMG's 'Guideline Regarding
Selected Coal Bond Release Issues' reverse-null hypothesis testing may be used. Prior to
using the reverse-null approach the DMG will be contacted to provide appropriate guidance.
V.J.4 Literature Cited (Sections I and J)
C-b Shale Oil Project. 1976.
