The <br />definitions of these areas, as contained in Rule 1.04, have been applied in what TCC believes to be a <br />reasonable manner to the lands surrounding the planned mining operation. The permit area contains <br />all lands on which the operator will conduct mining operations during the term of the permit. The <br />adjacent area covers lands and resources outside the permit area which may be adversely affected <br />by mining operations.
