J.E. Stover & Associates, Inc
September 3, 2007
Page 8
yellow-billed cuckoo, black-footed ferret, kit fox, Uintah Basin hookless cactus, orclay-loving wild
buckwheat.
Based on the presence of only marginally suitable habitat and/or on the analysis of the location and
nature of surface disturbance permitted within the mine boundary; the proposed renewal of the Blue
Ribbon Mine permit is not likely to adversely affect bald eagle, boreal toad, or Canada lynx.
Based on the water consumption estimate for Blue Ribbon Mine resulting in an average annual
depletion of 0.57 acre-foot from an upper Colorado River basin tributary, the proposed renewal of
the Blue Ribbon Mine permit may affect, and is likely to adversely affect bonytail chub,
humpback chub, razorback sucker, and Colorado pikeminnow, and their designated critical habitat.
I hope this inventory provides you and the DRMS with the information you need to address T&E
species issues during the Blue Ribbon Mine permit renewal process. Please don't hesitate to call
me at 527-8445 if you have any questions or require further information.
Sincerely,
Rare Earth Science, LLC
r
Dawn Reede
Principal Biologist
Attachments:
Figure 1 -Regional Map (with mine boundary & surface ownership)
Figure 2 -Aerial Photograph (of mine permit area)
Figure 3 -Wildlife Range Maps
•
© Rare Earth Science, LLC
