All of the structures described below are
shown in Exhibit 3.6-1. The mine office and rail loadout facilities were
located in the Oak Creek Valley (Exhibit 3.6-1) . The mine office still
present on-site is a prefabricated metal building constructed in 1965. Two
prefabricated metal buildings were located in the rail loadout area: the
supervisor's office and a bath house for the employees. These buildings
were constructed in 1960 and 1972, respectively. There was also a tank
containing diesel fuel for operating equipment which was located north of
the supervisors office. South of these structures were two additional
• tanks for storing oil for the stoker coal facility. A small pump house
which still exists is located north of the mine office.
The rest of the mine facilities were located on the ridge between
Trout Creek and Oak Creek (Exhibit 3.6-1). The original shops and
warehouse buildings were constructed of concrete, wood and metal in 1950.
-~_
The buildings werE_modified. in _1961,_ and_in_19_75., metal garage bays were
added onto the building to modernize and expand the maintenance shop. This
building still exists on the ridge.
South of this garage was a metal storage building which was
constructed in 1965, to hold lubricating oil barrels. A prefabricated
metal building was constructed in 1972, and was used as a bath house for
mine employees. This structure still exists. Between the oil storage and
bath house, an office trailer was placed to serve as a safety training
classroom. South of these buildings was an area for storage of large
equipment, parts, tires, etc. North of the shop and coal stockpile was an
area for mobile equipment parking. Also, located in this area was a bucket
house where dragline buckets are repaired.

TR-37 3.6-1' September 11,1997
