• Drainage -Drainage control for this road is included in the site drainage for the UTL
operations area. The road around Pond 1 + 2 has no drainage control specific to the
road. The road between the lagoons and the stockpile area has ditches on both sides
as part of the site drainage system. Two 18" CMP culverts cross the road near the
north end of the sewage lagoons to convey general site drainage. See Appendix 13-1
for design of the ditches and culverts.
Surfacing -The road around the pond has a dirt surface and the road around the
lagoons has little or no roadbase and a minimal amount of 3/4 roadbase gravel on the
surface.
Maintenance -Minor grading may be done on the road to eliminate ruts and to promote
drainage.
Structure Location Construction Dates
Light Use Road 5 Overland Conveyor 1978
Exhibits 7A, 10A & 11A
Description -This road includes 3 segment of road used to inspect and maintain the
overland conveyor. It includes 1400' between transfer 2 and the Public Service access
• road, 2000' between Coal Creek and the rail loop and 2500' within the rail loop including
the elevated portion of the road north of the transfer 4.
Design and Construction -The road generally follows the topography graded for the
overland conveyor. The portion of the road leading onto and off of the stockpile include
approximately 400' of 20% grade. The remaining portions of the road have little or no
grade. The width of the road is 15'.
Drainage -This road is on grade with the adjacent ground and no drainage control was
installed specific to the road.
Surfacing -The road had little or no roadbase and a minimal amount of 3/4 roadbase
gravel on the surface.
• Maintenance -Minor grading may be done on the road to eliminate ruts and to promote
drainage.
Structure Location Construction Dates
Light Use Road 6 RSS Exhibits 57 & 58 1983 - 1992
T13-2-11 (Rev. 11 /30/98)
