We have identified five areas of concern.
Point 1 - Public view of gravel pit.
Response: The Moffat County Commissioners along with the Developer have agreed to
erect a 12' cedar fence to run from the west corner of the proposed pit, running east to
block the view from the neighbors on the north and to detract the view from highway
travelers.
Point 2 -- Close proximity to the Moffat County Airport.
Response: The County Commissioners have been in contact with Blaine Tucker, the
Fixed Base Operator. The FBO said that he see's no problem with the gravel pit. The
commercial jet that landed at the airport was total pilot error. I do not believe that this
error has any bearing what so ever on the proposed gravel pit.
