* SECTION 6 - SEVERE EROSION AREA
GENERAL: Erosion problems are common in the Coal Basin area. They
disturb natural ground, surfaces of cuts and fills; they
create Tilling , gullying , sloughing and undercutting .
RECLAMATOIN CONCEPT: Prevent or reduce the erosion problems .
METHODS OF RECLAMATION: Improve surface drainage by changing
natural channels wherever feasible. Use riprap such as
basaltic boulder, Mesaverde sandstone and selected types
of Mancos Shale.
ANALYTICAL CONSIDERATIONS: Consider different thickness of riprap
for different slopes.
PROPOSED LOCATION: Any location along the haul road .
