When considering this adjacent area it becomes apparent
that these two watersheds will experience radically different
impacts from the mining operation. The Coal Creek drainage
will continue to be directly affected by the mining operations
as the mine portals , surface facilities , coal processing
plant, and roadways are all located within the drainage.
Impact on the C1ear ,Fork and East Muddy Creek drainage will,
in general, be. mirimal as all of the coal mining will be
subsurface and at depth. No surface facilities are planned
for this area; and roadways will be constructed to provide
access to drill hole locations only.
