• A study by the Colorado Department of <br /> Health, done in 1978 , indicated that the Crystal River <br /> exhibited excellent water quality except for a few elevated <br /> heavy metals concentrations at stations at the BRB Campground <br /> and the bridge above the fish hatchery . Benthic samples <br /> from the Crystal River indicate excellent water quality . <br /> ( 2) . Common species <br /> Fish commonly found throughout the White <br /> River National Forest, including the Crystal Creek drainage, <br /> are brook trout and rainbow trout, according to a Colorado <br /> Department of Health Aquatic Biology Report (See Appendix <br /> III-I-4) . <br /> • <br /> -39- <br />
