. SPECIES DIVERSITY STANDARD
ALL AREAS
The species diversity standard for all areas to be reve-
getated will be determined for each affected area vegetation type
from analysis of the 1980 baseline data.
The relative cover method now approved by Mined Land Reclama-
tion will be utilized as outlined in the MLRD letter contained
on the following two pages. By this method, the number of species
having a relative cover greater than 3 percent will determine the
diversity standard. Thus, the total number of species with a
relative cover of 3 percent or greater represents the standard
for that vegetation.
