CLIMATOLOGICAL DATA SOURCES
Permit Area :
Mid-Continent obtained climatological data for the
permit area from observations of the U . S . Department of
Commerce National Weather Service Station: Redstone 4 ,.
West . The weather station is within the permit area , adjacent
to the preparation plant area, at an elevation of 8065 ' ,
and was established in 1978 . Tables III-F-4 thru 6 are
• records of temperature and precipitation factors in the
permit area as observed at the Redstone 4 , West weather
station.
The 10, 25 and 100 year storm events have been
estimated from isopluvials maps and are drawn from the U . S .
Department of Commerce Precipitation Frequency Atlas of the
Western United States .

Regional data have been taken from information
supplied by the U . S . Commerce Department ' s National Weather
Service and from the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administra-
tion (NOAA) , the U . S . Forest Service and the U . S . Bureau
