The amount diverted is not recorded at the gauging <br /> station, since the diversion point is located several miles <br /> upstream from the gauging station. The amount of water <br /> being diverted cannot be determined from the U . S . Geological <br /> Survey records . <br /> Flood discharge rates (Figures III-C-1 and <br /> 2) have been calculated for the streams draining the mine <br /> lease area and for the drainage basin above the existing <br /> gauging station. This data , inventoried on Table III-C-10 , <br /> Flood Discharge for Clear Fork and Other Tributaries to East <br /> Muddy Creek, are calculated according to the USGS method <br /> • described earlier . <br /> 40 <br />
