• INTRODUCTION
<br /> A cultural resources inventory of five proposed drill holes and re-
<br /> lated new and to-be-upgraded access roads in the Gunnison National Forest,
<br /> Paoni a Di stri ct, was conducted on 11 and 12 November 1979 for Mi d-Conti nent
<br /> Resources, Inc. at the request of the U.S. Department of Agriculture For-
<br /> est Service. The survey was effected to comply with Executive Order
<br /> 11593, the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, and the National
<br /> Environmental Policy Act of 1969. Field work was performed by Carl E.
<br /> Conner of Grand River Institute, Grand Junction, Colorado under Special
<br /> Use Permit No. CR-04-12.
<br /> Location
<br /> The proposed drill holes and related new and existing, to-be-upgraded
<br /> access roads are located as follows (see attached map) :
