It is our opinion that the Coal Basin Townsite meets
the criteria for nomination to the National Register of
Historic Places , 36CFR60 . 6 , in that it is likely to yield
information important to the historic record by its embodi-
ment of distinctive characteristics relative to cultural
and artifactual types of the period , as well as the methods of
