Coal Basin is situated in the least productive area of <br /> • the state in terms of agricultural production. The :fountain and North- <br /> western Reporting District, which includes Coal Basin, uniformly reports, <br /> according to statistics of the Colorado Department of Agriculture, the <br /> lowest production of key crops. The only exception is hay production <br /> (Table III-A-6.) in Gunnison County, which is in the category of second <br /> least productive of hay crops.
