Availability of appropriate equipment and men within the <br /> desired time frame for these studies. <br /> 2. Willingness of the drilling contractor to drill a small number <br /> of holes. <br /> 3. Ability to collect an undisturbed or relatively undisturbed <br /> sample at ten foot intervals. <br /> A total of eleven drilling contractors were contacted and nine of <br /> these were, in general , unable or unwilling to meet two or more of the <br /> above requirements. The only contractors able to provide an undisturbed <br /> or relatively undisturbed sample were soils sampling or soils engineering <br /> firms. The following two firms can meet the drilling and sampling re- <br /> quirements at the indicated preliminary costs: <br />
