Project 1097-13 (0437-103)
ATTN: Mr. Doug Bowman
Dear Mr. Turner:
At your request Morrison-Knudsen's Mining, Group has prepared the attached final
report and drawings on drainage control of coal haulage roads (Class I) in
Coal Basin, Pitkin County, Colorado.
The conclusions drawn from this study are:
1. Seventeen additional culverts are required
2. Six of the proposed culverts are critical
3. Road F to Mine 3 requires the most new culvert structures
4. Other roads requiring culverts include Road B, Road C, Road D and
Road G
5. Existing drainage culvert structures are adequate to manage runoff
derived from a 10-year/24-hour storm
If you. have any questions concerning this report, please call me.
(Telephone (208) 386-6531)
Sincerely,
Ellery H.
