No.: Primary Refuse Disposal Area Inspection Period: Fourth Quarter 2007 Inspection Date: January 3, 2008 Gen®ral Description or Reference to Site Plan: MAC ~ ~ 2008 ~' V ~- _ , • ceclamatiu h1it~~ir-g and Safety The refuse area lies west of the main facilities area. Refuse has been placed in designed lifts on a relatively flat terrain. Upslope runoff is diverted away from the disposal area, while runoff from the disturbed area is channeled to a sediment control pond. The mine is in final reclamation and all anus have been sloped to final grade, covered with topsoil, and seeded and mulched. Activity During Inspection: Area is inactive with no personnel or equipment on-site. Site was snow covered with no evidence of significant erosion observable. Perimeter side ditches were open and functional. Cracks, slumps or other signs of potential failure were not obveerved. Drainage: {Discussion of springs. seeps, overland and channel flow, underdrain construction and/or discharge, integrity of 100-year 24-hour drainage structures, and evidence of positive drainage). No springs or seeps were observed on the refuse surface. Positive drainage has been maintained on the reclaimed areas. Prior to cessation of mining, waste material was placed in attemating lifts of fine and coarse material in accordance with the plan as described in the TerraMatroc report dated December 5, 1996.
