The mining operation purpose and associated activities: <br />The 112c Regular Operations Permit is being applied for crushing, screening, stockpiling, <br />a scale house, and office. The ApplicantlOperator is also requesting that a concrete batch <br />plant and hot mix (road/asphalt) plant be included under this 112c Regular Operations <br />Permit. <br />8. The name of the mining operation: <br />The pit name is the Blue Grass Gravel Pit. It will consist of two unique permit areas, a <br />West Pit permit area and an Fast Pit permit area. <br />9. Type of mining operation and substance to be mined: <br />The mining operation will consist of two open pits as noted in item number 8 above. The <br />substance to be mined is sand and gravel, also known as construction aggregates. <br />10. Site location: <br />The proposed mine site is located south of State Highway 96 East (Also known as US 50) <br />at 39~' Lane. It will be composed of two pits with one pit area being to the east (East Pit} <br />and the other pit area to the west (West Pit). The city of Pueblo is approximately eight <br />(8) miles west on Highway 96 East. <br />11. Legal description: <br />The complete legal description is in the 112c application Exhibit A. The general location <br />is a parcel of land in Sections 33, 34, and 35, Township 20 south, Range 63 west of the <br />6~` principal meridian, County of Puebla State of Colorado. <br />
