At this time,
Lafarge would like to amend the financial warranty required on the property into three ,~
phases. As shown on the plot plan (attached) there will be three phases of operation.
Phase I will cover 194.3 acres of land in the northern portion of the property. This
accounts for approximately 45% of the operation. The second phase will be IIa located in
the southern portion of the property. This area encompasses 39.5 acres of land and will be
approximately 10% of the proposed operation. Phase IIb is the center portion of the
subject property and encompasses 194.7 acres of land. This also accounts for
approximately 45% of the operation.
Lafarge requests to split the required bond into three phases matching the above
described project phasing. Below you will find a chart breaking down each phase and
percentage of the bond for that phase.
Total Financial Warranty: $3,254,883
Phase I: 45% - $1,464.697.35
Phase IIa: 10% - $325,488.30
Phase IIb: 45% - $1,464.697.35
Lafarge requests that each portion of the financial warranty be paid at the start of mining
for each phase of the operation. The operation will begin with phase I and then move to
phase IIa and finally phase IIb. No other changes to the mining plan are requested at this
time. We thank you for you consideration in this matter and request your prompt
response to our request. If there are any questions, feel free to contact me at anytime.
Sincerely,
..,
Sean Fnsch, Land Planner
Office: 303-657-4336
LAFARGE NORTH AMERICA INC. -Aggregate, Concrete, and Asphalt
10170 Church Ranch Way, Suite 200, Westminster, Colorado 80021
Telephone: (303) 657-4000 Facsimile: (303) 657-4037
